CAMP SPOKES TRAILER

Camp Spokes is a week-long bike-mechanics and empowerment camp for girls and gender-nonbinary youth, created in partnership by Rag & Bones and Groundwork RVA. This video played a key role in helping secure grants that continue to sustain the program today.

In collaboration with ETA RVA and PHAero, Copperhead is a video poem on the collision of internal work and community work. This video highlights PHAero’s passion on writing and breakdancing, and was featured at Northwest Film Forum’s 2023 Cadence Video Poetry Festival, under A Tune To Contain All Your Revolt programming.

For 2 months in 2023, Richmond Independent Video (RiV) took an ambitious task of shooting as many local live shows in Richmond in hopes to document and archive the amazing energy present in local DIY venues.

In 2021, with the production help of RiV, local WRIR radio show Secret Bonus Level went livestream in a backyard every Saturday for 6 months on RVA Magazine’s platform in response to the pandemic. SBLTV was able to showcase 150+ local rappers and beat makers during its time.
